Menu:

 
Anzac Biscuits 1 cup rolled oats

1 cup plain flour

1 cup sugar

3/4 cup coconut

125g butter

2 tablespoons(T) golden syrup

1/2 teaspoon (t) bicarb soda

1 T boiling water

After getting a handle on this recipe, double mixture.

1. Grease a few trays and turn oven to 180*C (160*fan forced)

2. Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut-set aside

3. Melt butter and golden syrup in a container (not plastic)     large enough to fit all the dry ingredients also.

4. Combine boiling water and bicarb in a cup or bowl

*Add 3 & 4 together (will bubble)

4. Quickly add the dry ingredients.

5. Spoon small amounts onto tray. Press with fork as these spread widely. Cook slowly. 15-20mins.

6. Leave on baking trays a few minutes, loosen all, then lift onto a cooling rack to harden.
